Forming a Group and Starting Your Town

Ready to form a group and build your town in Vinterra? Here's how:

  • Start with Group Organization: Begin by heading to Group organization under the Discussions section.

  • Recruit Members: Once you've gathered your members, alert Staff.

  • Gain Access to Kingdoms of Vinterra: Staff will grant you access to Kingdoms of Vinterra and create a private text channel only your citizens can see.

Shopping District: Now Open!

Here's what you need to know about the new Shopping District:

  • Location: Find it at coordinates 4500, 15000.

  • Easy Access: Use the teleport pad in the spawn hut to go directly to the Administration Building.

  • No Building: The entire district is claimed, so you cannot build in this area.

  • Item Retrieval: Be careful if you die in the district; getting your items back might be difficult.



Shop Auctions: Get Your Spot!

Want to open a shop?

  • Auction Date: We'll be auctioning 14 shops, stalls, and plots on June 15th during the Town Hall meeting.

  • Identify Spots: Look for purple blocks marking available spots, and check the attached map.

  • Can't Attend? If you can't make the Town Hall, open a ticket with your maximum bid.

  • Payment: All spots will be sold for Shards only.

  • Starting Prices: Estimated starting prices will be announced soon.



Important: No Building Outside the District!

  • To keep the area nice, do NOT build in the unclaimed areas surrounding the district.

  • Any builds found there will be removed without notice.


Trading & Marketplace

Here's how you can buy and sell items in Vinterra:

  • Grand Exchange: Items sold by players in their shops will show up here.

  • Marketplace: You can create your own forums to advertise your shops.

  • Shop Catalog: Craft this item (with a book and a temporal gear) to see every shop available on Lithora.


Shards

Shards can be earned through leagues, community events, community projects. 

  • Common:

    • 100 = 1 Uncommon

    • 1,000 = 1 Rare

    • 5,000 = 1 Mythic

  • Uncommon:

    • 10 = 1 Rare

    • 50 = 1 Mythic

  • Rare:

    • 5 = 1 Mythic

    • 1 + book = apprentice book

Weekly Uncommon Shard Giveaway!

Great news! We'll be randomly drawing 3 names each week from participants in both Town Hall and the "Server Soapbox" discussion area (found under "Discussion"). Each selected winner will receive 1 Uncommon Shard!

Classes

  • Upon character creation, you choose your "master" class.

    • Master class will have all the recipes and body traits: positives and negatives of that class.

  • Apprentice class is obtained with 1 Rare shard, corresponding colored book, and the master of the class creating it.

    • Apprentices only get the apprentice recipes, no other traits.

  • To get the apprentice class, you need to eat the book.

  • Every book you eat will overwrite the previous book, allowing you to change your subclass whenever you want.


Bug and Fixes

  • Campaign Cartographer was removed due to crashes. Must be deleted from mod folders.

  • Missing a few recipes.

  • Balance patch

Miscellaneous

  • Some issues have arisen—and likely will again—that staff shouldn't decide on alone. In those cases, we'll meet with the Council to reach a more balanced decision.

  • We're streamlining our Discord, wiki, and website so information is easy to find without wading through countless channels.

    • This overhaul will take time, much like server maintenance, so changes won't appear overnight.

    • For example, we're closing the Discord donations channel; financial updates will now be shared in our monthly newsletter instead.

    • Newsletters will be shared on Social Media in discord and on the website. 

  • We had 4 keys given away to our community.
