Finally, some good news! The Lyrith crystal has actually risen several feet, and its pedestal is glowing! It can only mean one thing: another crystal is about to appear! 

Everyone's been using these small crystals—the ones that were with us when we first got here on Lithora—as currency. They're calling them "Shards." No one has figured out how they came to be, nothing in the histories either. 

August 5th, 12296

The Azurite crystal's pedestal has lit up, and the runes are already connecting it to the Lyrith. It's officially on Lithora now, and we're getting the teams ready to find and retrieve it. 

Eldrin says I'll be responsible for opening the realms. I'm not so sure about that, especially after helping with the Nexus and everything else that's happened.

September 16th, 12296

They've spotted the Azurite in the far north! The problem is, the weather in the northern mountains is just too harsh right now. The teams are resupplying and trying to make what they call "snowshoes" to help them get through the snow. 

Eldrin has a theory that the Azurite realm itself might be cold; he says it's just a feeling he has, but some of the historical records seem to back him up. Once the Azurite is back on its pedestal, Eldrin is going to teach me how to get a glimpse into the realm so we can prepare before opening it for travel. I am so nervous, what if I do something wrong?
